SNOWGLOBES, 2003

The first snowglobe I ever bought was a cheap plastic miniature of San Francisco, a replica in which neither pollutionnor fog marred my vision of the Golden Gate Bridge. I began to collect snowglobes from airports beacuse I was interested in this idealized representation of place. Soon my family and friends started bringing me snowglobes form their travels, and I had a collection. For Snowglobes, I documented my collection with notes about what each object meant to me personally.

Snowglobes was screened as part of Monumental at Southern Exposure in 2004, Fluctuating Images in Stuttgart, Germany in 2005, and Cross Currents in Strasbourg, France in 2005.
